Rejection of Prop 19

This article talks about the positive and negative of what happened in the Nov 4 elections on Prop 19. They mention that despite the rejection most California voters lean to legalizing marijuana later in the future cause this bill people disagreed with some of the regulations that was presented. The article states “Prop. 19 would have allowed adults 21 and older to grow up to 25 square feet of marijuana or possess up to an ounce. But it also included a provision to protect marijuana users from discrimination that opponents, including the Chamber of Commerce, ridiculed. They claimed it would allow nurses and bus drivers to come to work stoned, which the campaign disputed. ” I feel the same way personally about the way marijuana was presented in media coverage about taxing it to bring California back. Many recreational users of marijuana do not understand some of the symptoms he does to the body and to be a nation allowing that to happen it would destroy us even more. The rules and regulations the have on medical marijuana is fine now that they passed SB 1449, that makes the fine for marijuana a $100 fine but its still a misdemeanor .

Prop. 19 trailing badly

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-mew-prop19-poll-20101023,0,2940971.story

For the legalization of marijuana the polls show that most of the people who are from ages 18-40 want it to pass but the veterans 50 and above which found likely voters opposing the measure 51% to 39%. We know the state is BROKE and they need the money but it would take our economy to a negative outcome in the long run. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger already has signed a law making possession of an ounce an infraction. This is perfect to get the money from the people who get caught. California needs to think about the United states and  now itself for these laws.

Marijuana Cookie Poisoning

I was recently watching the news and it was a story about 2 kids finding strange cookies on the street and eat them to find themselves in the hospital the same day. Doctors said it was from Marijuana .  From my experience with the cookies i never felt the poisoning and if it was poison why do people use it to medicate. From my experience and knowledge of the plant the death rate is 0%. The most it could do is put people to sleep or feel some type of hallucination if to potent.

I want to know the real reason behind prop 19 because i do not understand why now we need to legalize weed in tax it. I know we could go to a better route we already passed a law to make from a misdemeanor to a minor infraction  . Its stay perfect this way the legalization stops dreams of the poor middle class to open up and use a medical shop a stepping stone to wealth.

Nate Robinson DUNKS on Shaquille O’Neal

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Video-Nate-Robinson-dunks-on-fellow-Celtic-Shaq?urn=nba-273721

Nate Robinson from the Boston Celtics dunks on his new former teammate Shaq while they were at practice. I think its funny between teammates and Nate for being his size and to jump that high in dunk over many people taller then him it makes him amazing. He did it as a joke and knowing Shaq he would put Nate to a challenge and be at the wrong place at the wrong time at practice.

When I saw this article and video about this it took me back to when i was in high school football team and we used to to play around at practice. It made me miss and want to do those things again and be on another team.

Favre gets his last chance

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=dw-favre092310

With Farve starting the season on a losing streak the first two games. Based on his performance thus far four picks, two losses, one touchdown, zero victories. Since he been doing bad being an all star veteran QB in the NFL they automatically assume his performance for the season. When stumbling upon this article all that was on here was negative feedback on the Vikings for begging him to come back. This article kinda bothers me for its negativeness upon one player we all watch his success and admire his achievements and once he does something bad he is being bashed by the media. I don’t understand these few games in the regular season kinda do not count n a way its not him its the entire team who is not coming up with the victory.Further on in the season when he and the Viking start doing good the media will have a change in perspective on his performance and bringing them back on the wining streak.

Shoelace thing

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/The-Denard-Robinson-Shoelace-thing-is-already-?urn=ncaaf-270340

When I was checking my e-mail, I stumbled upon a humorous article about whats going on in many mid west cities with teenagers not tying  their shoes. It all started with Michigan quarter back  Denard Robinson starting his early college football season against UConn and Notre Dame left him with more total yards three-fourths of the offenses nationally have gained

I this its pretty funny that one man habit of not tying his shoes to affect so many people with him having two good games. These teens really think when they don’t tie their shoes it will make them faster. everyone come with hard work and training not with whats your wearing and your shoes .

NFL GONE BAD

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ms-laborquestions090810

When I was checking my e-mail, I stumbled upon a controversial article. The article explained the agreement that was held between the owners and the players. The NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell recently decided that a new deal was necessary. He believed that the player’s salaries were too high and declared a new plan. The new plan would reduce their salaries, while the owners will use their share to reconstruct stadiums into  “state-of-the-art facilities”. The players expressed their thoughts on his new plan when Goodell visited eight team-training camps. The players were puzzled with what the owners wanted from them. With these hard economic times right now the players and the league are in disagreement and this dilemma may result in the league’s first work stoppage since 1987. The stoppage would affect more than just the players and the owners. The supportive fans who take on the sport as a culture will be effected to a certain extent too.

The United States’ economy is going through a very rough patch right now. I believe that Goodell’s plan may be for a good cause, but I am not sure how sufficient it is to use that much money to improve stadiums. Conversely, the players are the reason the game goes on. They endure the hits and the tackles so they should be earning more than the owners. It’s as simple as that. Without the players, the game could not go on.
